House of Devi, an initiative of Dalwadi Foundation (501c3), is an arts focused platform dedicated to showcasing Indian diasporic art and to cultivating meaningful engagement with art through the framework of the divine feminine.
We create space for South Asian art and the people who are drawn to it.
We support artists, bring collectors into the conversation, and create events that help people connect to art in a way that feels personal and culturally relevant. Rooted in the divine feminine, this is more than a gallery, it's a space for memory, ritual, and transformation.
House of Devi projects are where our vision becomes practice, exhibitions, artist directories, public art mapping, community forums, and cultural gatherings that build a stronger ecosystem for Indian diasporic and South Asian art in Houston.

Culture Bearer Community Conversations
<p data-pm-slice="0 0 []">Houston in Color would like to extend an invitation to the <strong>Culture Bearer Community Conversations</strong> happening over the course of this month. These conversations are a community inquiry process designed to inform the launch of Houston in Color’s inaugural <strong>Culture Bearer Community Cohort</strong>. Rather than defining “cultural bearer” internally, H.I.C. will convene conversations across Houston’s diverse communities to inform the criteria and review process. Learnings from the sessions will provide local examples as to how Culture Bearer practices manifest across the Greater Houston Area.</p>
